South Bend Cubs Performance Center

I took on the South Bend Cubs 1st Source Bank Performance Center as a client in July 2019. When I came in, they were looking for a lot of very basic but necessary graphics and materials for their business as they had just been officially listed as a non-profit organization. From the beginning, they encouraged creativity and freedom and when designing I did my best to embrace this mentality, knowing that in order for their organization to stand out amongst the fervent excitement that the minor league baseball organization they work under gains, they would need something unique and lighthearted, that would easily grab the attention of patrons of all ages.

Brochure created in July 2019 captures all aspects and experiences that the Performance Center offers, from their high-quality training center to their events and unique view of Four Winds Field.

Chance Encounter

Kay Clark approached my partner and I looking for a cover for her book in early June of 2019. We created 3 separate covers. One that included every aspect that she and her agent had originally wanted, one that was very abstract and included new elements that we hadn't discussed, and the one below. With this, I wanted to approach the themes that they had discussed but with a more lighthearted, abstract feel, with a design that modeled many of the more recent romance books in the young adult and new adult variety, but with a more mature twist. Although the cover will include no synopsis, our audience still recognizes that this is a love story whose plot includes an airplane. The baby blue and indigo are both complimentary of each other and the theme of the novel while also providing a brighter, more eye-catching cover.

Wish Fest

In September 2019, we were asked to create a name, logo, and Facebook banner for a new festival for the Chicago area in which children would be able to explore 6 different "worlds" ranging from fairytale, to forest and magic creatures, to utopia. We developed the name WishFest, wanting to keep the name short and simple for children to easily convey and understand and embodying the wistful yet realistic theme the developers wanted.
